1/144th Junkers Ju 287 V-1

This 1/144th diorama depicts the experimental Junkers Ju287 V-1 in the summer of 1944.

The top picture shows the model part finished, while the bottom photo is the finished model.

The kit is an FeResin (resin) model with scratch built detailing, including rocket motors, cockpit and ground equipment.

The kit was gerenally good, accurate and well detailed. The vacform cockpit glazing came in two parts and was difficult to align with the fuselage. The decals were very fragile and broken up when soaked in water, but they were repairable and once in place, settled down nicely.

The end result was a pleasing late war diorama of this usual subject.

FINISHED AT LAST......!!!!

1/144th Bristol Fighter - 106 Squadron

Based on the resin Sram kit and detailed with scratch built cockpit, gun, undercarriage etc.

In the background is a sratch built Rolls Royce Armoured Car and modified Preiser figures.

Part built "Bisfit" with fuselage painted.

The aircraft was based on a aircraft from 106 Squadron of the RAF in the summer of 1919.

Sram make limited run resin kits. These have all the main parts required to complete the model, however, you do need to do a lot of cleaning up and scratch building. The decals sheet limited but are crisp and thin. You may find that they break up if to much microsol is use to soften the decal when appyling them.....
